condolences

I received a call a day before my OSCE from my gf in Glasgow regarding a bus crash along the highway Southwards. Bus crashes never do interest me, though I do feel very sorry for them, I feel that there's nothing I can do since I do not know anyone. However, this call was different. It wasn't a statement, but a question.. ' Do you know a girl named Nian Ning, I think she's CHung Lern's gf... I think she died in a bus crash'..... Alvin's reply was.. ' wwwhat??? I dunno leh, but she sounds familiar.. will check it out' ..

The next day, on facebook, was a new group in her memory, and lo and behold, it was his gf. Though I never met her in person, I feel the lost of those who know her personaly. This post goes out to all those who knew her, or anyone who knew or lost anybody in that crash, or any other bus crashes. And to my friend chung lern, I'm really very sorry for your lost, wish there was something I can do...

The one thing in life that is certain is death. But the way a person dies bears alot of burden on those they leave behind. I certainly believe that all the young people that lost their lives in the crash did not fulfil their life's worth. She was destined to safe lives, many of them, but ended giving her life, without being saved.

As a fellow Medical Student, and in my capacity of Vice Chair of the Society of Malaysian Medical Association Medical STudents, I dedicate this post to Nian Ning, and convey my deepest condolence to her family, Bf, friends and all those who knew her. My condolence also goes out to the family and friends of all those who perish in the same bus crash, and in all bus crashes before this. May they find peace, knowing that a diference can be made by those here. Lets hope such posts need not be posted in my or any other persons blog again
